On April 6, 2005, the follow members helped run goldline upstream:
Jason Ottinger Edd Sorenson Bill Maine John Dowd Nick Leone John Kimbrel
There were 3 teams of 2 divers: Team #1 consisted of Bill Maine and John Dowd. Team # 2 consisted of Nick Leone and John Kimbrel. Team #3 consisted of Jason Ottinger and Edd Sorenson.
Everyone met at 10:30 a.m. at CIS. The first 2 and a half hours consisted of trying to untangle all of the goldline that got tangled after the cardboard sides of the spool detoriated from the water exposure on the first attempt to run more goldline upstream on April 2nd. We managed to spool up (using plastic electrical cord spools) about 1,100 ft of the 1,400 ft of gold line between two spools. The rest of the line John Kimbrel offered to take home and untangle on his spare time.
Team #1 entered the water around 1:30 p.m. They ran goldline from the existing at 1,200 ft upstream to about 2,200 ft.
Team #2 entered the water around 2:00 p.m. They examined the existing goldline on the downstream.
Team #3 entered the water around 2:15 p.m. They ran goldline from 2,200 ft to about 3,000 ft.
Also between both the April 2nd project day and April 6th project day we didn't find any possible solution tubes in the cavern and pvc pipes to hold up line in the cavern were put in.
